So I have Verizon Unlimited Data and things have been slow so I just ran a speed test. Download speed is just over 2mb/s, upload speed is nearly 5mb/s. DL used to be something like 17mb/s. They really are throttling the remaining unlimited plans. Bastards!

2 mbps is plenty for most apps to run fine. The issue would be if you were watching hd video on your phone though. Could also be higher ping times causing things to seem slow. You can have super fast internet but if the ping is slow, then it will seem like your connection is slow because it takes a while for a webpage to show up

I just did it again. Now the DL speed is 17.24mb/s and UL is 5.52mb/s. When I checked the speed yesterday it was approximately 9:30 pm on a Saturday night when my DL sped was just over 2 mb/s. Today the testing was 7:30am on a Sunday morning. They are definitely throttling it during peek hours.

I'm sorry to hear about your crappy american carrier(s), that should be almost illegal.

And in the meantime if we're going to complete with speeds...
