Actually my phone was in the same situation as the OP's .. I have got it repaired from a shop here in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.. He charged me 1500PKR = 15USD and said that it was dead boot repair and I am using my phone now on 4.2.2 , I am really afraid to update it now to Kitkat lol

bro....aap nay pindi main kis jagha say apna phn theek karwaya tha.......mera G2 bhi yehi masla kar raha hai.....please asap.

Sorry for the late reply .. I have been not around .. You can go to Singapore Plaza and ask for Raja Communication.. they will get it fixed
