You guys can also try downloading the 4G Switcher. This is what I used to turn on 4G on my LG G3. Got my G3 via grey market and the unit had Euro Firmware and the LTE option wasn't showing up in the Settings menu.

Try flashing another firmware. Also try installing the ltesettings app as some sense report success with that.
I get 4g on band 20 in uk on android 5. I'm using androidnow

I have the SEA version of the G2 and G3, and both work on 4G/LTE in Australia on Vodafone without any issues what so ever
