Well ive learned my lesson. No more SIM adapters for me.
Hopefully I can get my carrier to swap it out for me.

Hi,

Anyone did the job?

Here is my SIM Card/MicroSD Slot on my LG G3 D855.- Already bought the replacement on www.etradesupply.com I will post my results when starting the desoldering and soldering.

Any help/recommendations would be appreciated:

Good luck!

If the whole part solder is too difficult (which I think it is!) then you can perhaps instead try to solder the missing pin(s) with some sort of thin metal strip/wire that you can bend or even try to place it there without soldering (as I did). I remember that one of the connectors broke off on my SGS once whilst I was abroad so I think I just used some flexible wire (I think it was even the solder wire) temporarily until I got home and ordered the part. Once I had managed to make contact correctly I could not take the SIM out again as the wire would have moved. It did take a bit of time but if you can not get your phone repaired or replaced then this is an option.

I will try to solder the whole piece. This is the work of a poorly skilled techinician, he cutted the metal casing to get to the pins. I will try to desolder the whole reader. Hope i dont break anything.

Lol poorly trained is a understatement.
Looks like he failed kindergarden "dont touch this" class.
Did you at least get money to fix it?

Hello, do you manage to complete the task? I have a Nexus 5 with the same problem and the board is similar.

I am also in the same boat now due to a damn Sim adapter I am not sure if the pins are damage or not. In my case, only one SIM card is working which is nano and by placing it directly on the sim card reader without any adapter, its working fine. However, none of the other nano/Micro-Sim works.

Please share more findings in this regard as i want to proceed with the repair as well. I have managed to find a replacement part at below link:
