anyone tried to make headphone out louder with mixer_paths.xml editing like in G2 days?

i tried to edit in mixer_paths.xml the following values but it did nothing:

Code:
...
<ctl name="HPHL Volume" value="20" />
<ctl name="HPHR Volume" value="20" />
<ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="60" />
<ctl name="RX2 Digital Volume" value="60" />
...
there are also mixer_paths_auxpcm.xml and mixer_paths_qcwcn.xml in /system/etc so maybe there somewhere are the magic values to change.

all 3 files from D855 EUR on pastebin:

mixer_paths.xml
mixer_paths_auxpcm.xml
mixer_paths_qcwcn.xml

would be nice if a "pro" could have a look on it!

I would also appreciate someone looking into this. I am hearing impaired and think the volume for music is way too low with my high quality headphones on!

For some reason in-call volume is fine.

...

dont edit that...
what you were editing is correct, but you dont change HPHL & HPHR, you only edit RX1 Digital Volume & RX2 Digital Volume.
the defualt value is 60, i find anything over 65 makes music distorted. make sure the permissions are still -rw-r--r-- after editing.

depending on your device model - D850/1/5 etc, etc, software - AOSP/stock, you may have to edit all 3 to make sure you edit the right files. CM only has mixer_paths.xml

SORRY FOR BUMPING, JUST REALISED POSTED DATE.
