When you swipe up from the bottom of the screen you get that semi-circle which provides a shortcut to Google. Is there anyway of configuring that so it provides quicker access to a different application? I've looked through the settings but couldn't see anything.

The only way is for you to use G3 Tweakbox but you'll need to first root your device and install Xposed framework.

Thumbs up Better Solution if You Don't Want to Root
Try Home Launcher in the Google Play Store. It replace the Google Icon with a Rocket and it is easy to add / remove apps. You can make the list change appearances for easy viewing. I like it maybe you will too!
