[BootAnimation & Shutdownanimation] MASSIVE G3 Collection <<Over 66+>> 10/9/14

Wow! Serious thanks to all the awesome BA/SAs posted, as well as a huge thanks to the OP for working on/gathering them. I don't know which to choose!

So far, all of them work great. Using Verizon's LG G3 (VS985, software version VS98510B).

Quick question, though. I was wondering if anyone figured out how to remove the "LG Life is Good" splash screen that comes before the BA.

OP, if you feel this would be better placed in its own thread, I will happily do so. I read every post in this thread, and people hinted at that still being there but I did not see a solution as of yet.

First off, thanks very much to OP for all of these! Question: Am I seeing things, or is the Android logo in the Android L BA a little bit fuzzy?

I'm having the same problem on the Sprint variant. I've made tons of boot animations for the Sprint Lg Optimus G but it doesn't seem to want to work on the G3. I changed both bootanimation_sprint.zip and the PowerOn.ogg/PowerOn_Sprint.ogg files. It played the sound file but instead of the sprint animation or my animation it reverted to the lg bootani. So I replaced that - now the music doesnt play and I just get a black screen before the homescreen loads.......Any help is greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I figured out why my bootanimation wasn't working. The structure has to be a bit more exact then it was on the Optimus G. Now both animation and sound are working. Thanks for all your hard work!

On Sprint you have to replace them in system/media and sounds in system/media/audio/ui. But you ALSO have to delete/rename the folder carrier/cust/poweron and carrier/cust/poweroff.



I deleted those folders and it worked for me - otherwise the Sprint spark stuff will still show.

I almost forgot about this thread, as i'd just gotten used to the broken shutdown animation, but...

I wanted to take the time to report in that the latest shutdown posted works perfectly on my att g3. Thank you!

Got it working on O2!!

Once you have copied the files to:

/data/local/
/system/media/


DELETE the files in

/data/shared/cust



This was doing my head in, and I refused to believe a factory reset was needed
So finally found the files it reads from.

This MAY work on other ones that aren't keeping them applied.

help please.

I am trying to download the "Marvel-DC=FinalRevision" file and that is not a problem. i follow the instruction on changing the bootanimation.zip to rw-r-r-T. I double check and the "T" stood. When I restart there are no changes any help? (when i downloaded from the link it was only 1 file.)

I Have:
Spring LG G3
Recover Installer v1.01
Xposed installer
4.4.2

Well, let me see if I can get you to adore my Boot Animations 100%... BTW the Sci-Fi Droid Boot Ani in Post#3 only works with the Quick Circle case and it is in alpha phase. But maybe you’ll like these more….

Check the mediafire folderlink for the file named "shutdownanimation.zip" a "shutdownanimation.zip" is a zip file that can only be used for the purpose of a shutdown animation. Currently there are only a few shutdown animations, outside of the Android L shutdownanimations mentioned in Post #1, here are the mediafire links:

In regards to the stock animations, the stock animations do not work on the LG G3, and it will also slow the growth of the collection therefore they will not be included.
