Works, but with side effects.
This mod stops the crash when attempting to cast from the YouTube app.

However when not casting it has the nasty side effect of causing the soft key bar to remain visible* when going full screen, occluding part of the playing video.

*The buttons are removed, but the bar is not hidden. (Normal behaviour is for the soft key bar to slide off the screen shortly after going full screen)

This is on an LG Gpad 8.3" running stock 4.4.2 rom (obviously rooted).

Is this only a new bug? I recently went from Cyanogen back to stock and the tablet became unusable because of it constantly crashing when casting. The xposed module has made a difference but it still crashes from time to time, facebook chatheads seem to crash it when I get a notification as well as when casting and when updating apps.

I'm about 99% sure I didn't have any problems when the tablet was stock before I rooted and flashed Cyanogen. Is the crash related to being rooted as well? If so, is it possible because of root the casting app has some sort of permission it otherwise doesn't have and it and what ever else are fighting for the same thing causing crashes? Can apps be blocked maybe?
