Would you know why it's failing. I don't think my bootloader is unlocked, because I am unable to flash a recovery.

It could be any of a number of reasons. Too many to list. What version does "fastboot version" return? I'd probably start by making sure I had the latest adb and fastboot binaries.

Minimum version for KitKat is 1.0.31.

Which device? Flashing the wrong aboot or abootb patch will brick your device. This isn't needed for the D415 model.

Lg d415. And I found out that my bootloader came unlocked
