A link to your source of the batteries would be helpful, and (it might be too late to ask but) an even more close-up picture of the wiring connections would be great. batteries came from ebay

Do not try to update the touch screen firmware via this menu - it will put it into an unrecoverable state, the only solution is to replace the touchscreen can confirm, ruined a screen... it is not stated clearly enough anywhere that this kills you...
