1 Actually, it's not. Turning on airplane mode leaves GPS on, at least on a stock Galaxy Nexus. I just tested this. Makes sense, since a GPS receiver does not transmit. Takes longer to get a position fix, though, without AGPS. Accuracy seems unaff... View...
