I design electronics and work with USB and batteries often, so let me clear some stuff up in no particular order:
- PC ports are limited to 500mA so will only ever output a max of 500mA
- You can use a wall charger that outputs 1000mA but on...
EDIT: Just wanted to let you know the full version of Walkabout is now FREE on get jar for a limited time. Go grab it now! No registration or personal info needs to be entered, just point your phone/tablet here:
FYI the reason certified UK (or any other country) repair centres cannot repair phones bought outside their territory is due to license and contract terms they have with the manufacturers.
If those terms weren't in place they would be undercutt...
That last bit is not quite true for Li-Ion and Li-Po batteries.
Both are damaged by full charges and full discharges. It's much better NOT to let your phone drop right down to fully discharged, except for the few times you need to do it in order...
If you had it less than 6 months, they have to prove the fault wasn't there when you bought it. If its after 6 months you have to prove it.
In either case if you can prove the fault was there from day one, you can demand a refund or replacemen...
