1 Yes, get root and run titanium backup restore. Don't restore system apps, as you've changed roms and this can cause problems.
1 If you have a i9000, that's not a vibrant, and I think that rom you flashed probably contains bootloaders (since it's meant for recovery). Did you select phone bootloader update in odin? You could try borrowing a battery/charging the one you have...
