I haven't used this app yet, but doesn't this first post imply that root is not required? Correct. Root is *NOT* required. I'm using it without root. To fix the "failure to launch" problem, I use MacroDroid to test for when the FTV launcher launch...
I mean the HD/HD+ is only 2 years old... In consumer products, that's an eternity.
Some minor observations. Some you know, maybe some you don't: 1) Slow to wake up (power or 'n' buttons). Does it sleep more deeply than CM7? 2) Touch screen isn't quite as responsive as in CM7. Especially in the default browser. It also sometime...
Some say yes, while others say no. I just got a replacement Hauppauge 950Q that works well on a Windows machine, but no success yet with either the Fire or Raspberry. What few documented successes there are, aren't documented well.
