2 Xperia 2011 range headset using OMTP technology, Xperia 2012 and newer using CTIA technology, so both headset will not compatible. To use LWW headset in XMD phone, try using Fiio LU1 adapter
1 IMO, it's better to create separate version for next version. One for KK with all of your latest change. And one final version for JB, without KK stuff. So we can get the most stable JB kernel for final version. But it's all up to you ;)
