I think you should go stock again, unlock bootloader if needed, install TWRP (much better imo), root, then redo the steps I outlined before. Btw going to stock WILL erase your internal storage (or at least for me it did), so back that up first. ...

Really hope they upgrade the butterfly to sense 5, and don't do an htc sensation and give us sense 4++
