1 Make sure you don't have a case with a magnetic latch, Those often trip up the sensors in the HD. If you do, the easiest thing to do is flip the case around, so that it opens the wrong way. That will get the magnet away from the sensor.
1 Mine was driving me crazy with that, but I finally figured out the problem; It was the magnetic closure on my case setting off the dim command. Apparently Amazon has a case that wakes up/sleeps the HD automatically. I just flipped my case around, ...
