2) I made the same mistake...
Run the latest "nightly", with 4.1.0 sbc, and vipermod's scripts with these voltage settings: see below, and at the very least the screen off profile: also see below. This is currently the best thing you can do for your evo.

Bluetooth audio was skipping, only discrepancy I noticed on Vipers 1.4.0, otherwise it's very silky.
