No, it's the upgraded bootloader that's causing the soft bricking. Upgrade to 4.4.4 via OTA and your bootloader gets upgraded in the process(so I've been told). For the GPS lock, I returned to a nandroid of my stock 4.4.3 and got a lock, then flashed a custom rom.

Not to my knowledge. I dont believe flashing different CID firmware is wise. Although I'm not sure why it is different to ATT and others.

All the models are the same, except for the modem...
If both versions of firmwares are designed for the same model number (ex.: XT1039) they should work fine...

Sir..I couldn't find any animation in the file structure you mentioned..The boot animation (spinning earth) that's on this device, is located >> system/media/bootanimation.zip

Please correct me, if I'm wrong..

Note: I did change the animation on this device to another, to make sure..

Seems to me, to be the same animation as my XT1045 Moto G's, XT1060 Moto X DEV, and maybe even my XT1028 Moto G..

its named bootanimation Without file type, Its not a zip

It have the parameters to load the bootanimation.zip

only motorola phones have that ability to load .mp4 files on boot.

that's why i need this, to run it on cm12

The kitkat one, doesnt work anymore on Lollipop
