To clarify, you can flash a different model's TWRP backup, I did not mistype. The issue is your TWRP backup @Slinkwyde included extra unnecessary partitions. System.ext4.win and boot.emmc.win are all that was needed.

It's possible you have screwed up the partition table, flashing the gpt.bin from Android 4.4.3 (Retail US) KXB21.14-L1.23-4 CID9 might repair the table and allow you to flash a recovery. The command is: mfastboot flash partition gpt.bin

Are you sure you can't flash the 4.4.3 firmware image? What errors do you get?

So if I repackage those two partitions with their md5 files in a zip, I could flash it in TWRP and be on stock 4.4.4?

Yes, all you need is ROM and Kernel. Here is the contents of a recent TWRP backup (from another phone) that I restored:

boot.emmc.win (Kernel)
boot.emmc.win.md5
recovery.log
system.ext4.win (ROM)
system.ext4.win.md5
system.info

I should have some time tomorrow to build a custom recovery flash-able zip if @Slinkwyde will share his backup again, or someone sends me a link to it.

Also, @Slinkwyde, by overwriting your phones 'fsc' partition (fsc.emmc.win) with that of another, you may have lost your IMEI. Does the following command list an IMEI?
fastboot getvar all

I expect ultimately you won't know your position until you are able to boot Android again.

Identify CID using the following:
Fastboot - 'fastboot getvar all' and read cid: 0x000* (* = CID)
Playstore - Install CID getter from Playstore and read this value 'ro.boot.cid' it should be 0x* (* = CID)

Bought a Moto G XT1040 4G LTE at a Claro Colombia store which I unlocked and rooted following the instructions here http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Instal...ing_the_device. I erased some unnecessary apps from /system/apps and probably won't get the Lollipop update. Having read the instructions quoted above, I'm still not not sure which version to use. I got:

[ro.boot.cid]: [0xC]

Other information that might be useful:

[ro.boot.baseband]: [msm]
[ro.boot.bootloader]: [0x4113]
[ro.boot.carrier]: [amxco]
[ro.boot.device]: [peregrine]
[ro.boot.hwrev]: [0x82D0]
[ro.boot.radio]: [0x7]
[ro.build.description]: [peregrine_retla-user 4.4.4KXB21.14-L1.56 54 release keys]
[ro.build.id]: [KXB21.14-L1.56]
[ro.build.product]: [peregrine]
[ro.build.user]: [hudsoncm]
[ro.build.version.codename]: [REL]
[ro.build.version.full]: [Blur_Version.21.11.56.peregrine_retla.retla.en.01]
[ro.build.version.incremental]: [54]
[ro.build.version.qcom]: [AU_LINUX_ANDROID_LNX.LA.3.5.1_RB1.04.04.02.048.020]
[ro.build.version.release]: [4.4.4]
[ro.build.version.sdk]: [19]
[ro.carrier]: [amxco]
[ro.product.board]: [MSM8226]
[ro.product.locale.language]: [es]
[ro.product.locale.region]: [US]
[ro.product.model]: [XT1040]

And the baseband version shown in ->Settings->About phone is:

MSM8926BP_101.90.49.01R, singlela_cust

Any hints or ideas? Also, what is the difference between the SVC and nonSVC ROMS you find?

I'm currently seeding the torrent he made. I can't seem to find the original torrent file but I do have the hash of the torrent.

If that doesn't work for you I'll put the full zip on my cloud storage and PM you the link.

I replied to your PM but I don't see my reply so not sure if you got it. You may get 3 replies as I tried a few times.

This is a flashable zip for XT1045 CID9 4.4.4 Stock ROM. Do not extract; flash in Custom Recovery.

Note: A few Google apps removed to reduce filesize, otherwise untouched.

Title: Android 4.4.4 - Blur_Version.21.11.56.peregrine_retus.retus.en.US (Retail US) (XT1045)
Filename: XT1045_Retail_US_4.4.4_CID9.zip
[Download] (380mb)

Radio: 101.90.49.01R (Flash at your own risk)

Can someone confirm that '/dev/block/mmcblk0p1' is the modem partition as it is on non-LTE Moto G? The above radio should work if that is the case. I also took a guess at the radio version number.

Will try this out when I get a chance. Which Google apps did you remove? Not that I mind just curious which ones. I prefer minimal Google apps anyway. Though I will only be using stock briefly to fix my GPS issue then right back to CarbonROM.

I only removed some of the larger gapps: Chrome, Google+, youtube - they are all available in Google play and would need updating anyway.

I actually don't use Chrome on Android, prefer Firefox. Was just curious as I didn't remember what came included on stock for this phone.
