Lollipop will start to be released to nexus devices on 3rd November with lollipop version of apps being allowed on the playstore now

Since the UI of the moto g is very similar to a pure android UI and the close connection between Google and Motorola I would expect lollipop for the Moto g to be released soon after

I have the Global version but it seems like the carrier versions have been updated to 4.4.4.
