Guys after downgrading from Brazilian 5.0 to GPe 4.4.4 on my XT1033
I got the OTA notification

Recently, I have converted my xt1033 to gpe edition and I got the 5.0 ota update. I installed it and everything was fine until the boot. I got the bootloop. Luckily, I found this thread and now my phone is back to gpe 4.4.4. The problem is, I didn't get any ota update notification and I can't even sideload the 5.0 update. It keep giving me status 7 error. And also I tried to reverted back to xt1033 asian retail which is my phone originally from and bootloop happened again. Why is this happening? What's the problem with my phone? Can anyone help?

I know, but when i try to update to 5.0.1 it give me error 7 ( miss matching fingerprint.) so im in the process of editing with build prop editor.

I did this and now i cant upgrade to 5.0.1 every ota update ive tried has failed. (status 7)
Is some kind of lollipop firmware i can flash. not an ota, but an actual firmware? (xml.zip)
im desperate help!

After downgrading from 5.0 to Gpe 4.4.4.. will i be able to flash Asia Retail 4.4.4 on my xt1033 (Indian dual sim ) ??

Solution For XT1033 : Flash 5.0.1

1.Flash a 4.4.4 XT1032 gpe firmware
2.update or sideload 5.0.1 from recovery or wait for the official 5.0.1 OTA( I got it this morning)
3.install it and reboot ( you ll have no signal )
4.flash 4.4.4 XT1033 modems through bootloader and reboot
5.Everything will work

Not sure if you can downgrade to Asian 4.4.4 from 5.0, but try your luck

What files do you need?
And flash only 4.4.4 gpe firmware it works perfectly not other firmwares

Been hitting my head off the wall for two days with this upgrade fiasco.....thank you for the simple, sane guide which has saved the day.

So, going back to the start... I own an XT1032 and had installed the Indian XT1033 4.4.4 firmware followed by lollipop 5.0......happy days, it worked fine.....but I didn't like the dual sim switch in the menu, even though it is automatically disabled.

Experience told me to get the correct XT1032 firmware pronto.

Eventually reverted (in mild panic) to firmware TESCOSL-GB_4.4.2_KLB20.9-1.10-1.9_cid7_CFC_1FF_v8.xml
The XT1032 had worked fine on this firmware for over a year.

Then I updated my xt1032 falcon to firmware GPE_4.4.4_XT1032_KTU84P.M003_CFC.xml.zip

After the update, 5.0.1 was picked up automatically OTA and has just finished installing without any problems. Woot !

I will not root my phone for a while, as getting updated firmware OTA is quite theraputic.
Maybe someone has a genius idea to masquarade at unrooted and fool the OTA manager ......?

I made a Backup of Wiped KK 4.4.4 before install CM12, if i use the Backup I can with Moto 4.4.4 change to GPE 4.4.4 and finally install GPE 5.0.1?

Flash a XT1032 gpe 4.4.4 and sideload or wait the OTA , it should work
Do a clean flash through bootloader, It will wipe everything from your phone

Hi, I have a xt1032. If I'll convert to GPE (already did with KK some time ago) 5.0/5.0.1, will I be able to reconvert back to xt1032 or to downgrade to GPE 4.4.2/4.4.4 without bricking? There are people in other discussions that hard bricked their devices. Did someone of you tried with success?
