For those who have updated to 4.4.4 , can some one try this for me.

>Enter stock recovery
>Wipe cache partition

Does the phone auto reboot or does it say wipe complete and display reboot option ?

Yes . Does your phone auto reboot too after wipe from recovery ?

By android menu do you mean wipe from storage menu under settings?

Its auto rebooting after wiping the cache partition from recovery. That is how its supposed to be working in Moto G.

Here is the official guide to wipe cache partition from Motorola - https://motorola-mobility-en-in.cust.../30,6720,9050/

Yes but is it actually erasing the cache ? I distinctly remember it did not auto reboot prior 4.4.4 (correct me if I'm wrong)..

The dialler looks nice now and thank God, the SIM 2 icon is now gone. Looks great now

Default Query

I have a stock rooted and ulocked bootloader moto g 1033 phone. I have TWRP recovery. I have received the update but I am a bit apprehensive. I have removed xposed modules and framework from the phone and have not done any modifications with the rom. I have flashed Faux Kernel. Can I directly upgrade the phone using OTA?

Hi All,

I'm using Moto G XT1033 rooted + CWM +XPosed + Faux Kernel and I'm able to receive OTA.
Is it ok if I update to 4.4.4 using the steps below:

1) Remove xPosed
2) Remove root
3) CWM remain
4) Faux kernel still remain
5) Update through OTA

Can I update using this method?

Thanks!

No it just hangs there in recovery; doing nothing . Have to long press power button to force a reboot.

Yes it is the option under storage
