But I'm here now because I'm completely open minded. I can probably get anything as high as $150, maybe $10 or more if it comes down to that and it really is worth it.
While I loved my Samsung Galaxy Victory, it just simply got no love from developers or Samsung. It was really just another device to developers. Looking at the spec comparison, it looks to be basically the same phone on paper. http://www.phonearena.com/phones/com...ones/7112,8208
But the Moto G has Kitkat and the Galaxy Victory is stuck on Jelly Bean, specifically 4.1.2. Besides that, the biggest difference I see right off the top of the bat is the Moto G doesn't support sd cards.
As far as I know the $10 cheaper Verizon than Boost Mobile Moto G still can't be rooted and activation screen has to still be bypassed to use it as a wifi only device. The Boost Mobile version is more appealing to me just because of that and it can already get Kitkat without a custom rom.
But I AM open to custom roms. I use one on my Galaxy Tab 3 for Kitkat. I too got it without questions or anything but it has finally gotten support from developers and I am very happy with it now. My brother got it for me for Christmas last year. I was always happy with it, just not completely satisfied like with the Galaxy Victory. I have never seen any of the complaints I heard about either of them.
I'm really just looking for the best overall device that can get rooted and has or can get Kitkat by a custom rom.
Besides the Moto G I have also considered another Galaxy S2. I had the Epic Touch 4G version but it just fell out of my pocket or something. I also have considered this phone right here and it looks good on paper but I know nothing about it. http://es.focalprice.com/MK0227W/Mpi...Quad_Core.html
I really haven't looked into other devices yet but I also remember I saw a gaming tablet with Kitkat on that same focal price website before for I think around $120. I have started using my Galaxy Tab 3 to game though. A bluetooth controller that never worked decided to finally work recently.
I also NEED a Windows laptop. I have a Macbook but no Odin or anything. I've always had problems with JOdin3 and Heimdall. Best case scenario I get both. I have looked at Windows XP laptops on Amazon and will on Ebay too but if I see one new and under $150 I have to jump on that and then get another phone later. I am confident Odin can fix my Galaxy Victory.
So all in all a Windows computer has more value to me now but I do want another Kitkat device too and can get one sooner than later. Any links would be great too.
