Moto G GPE 4.4.4 not upgrading to 5.0.1

I was able to boot into stock recovery and flash the Telus OTA update without wiping my data. My wifi, gmail, ES file explorer, Root Explorer, and wifi settings were still there after updating.

You would not flast the OTA capture using fastboot commands. You simply copy it to your internal storage and flash it using stock recovery.

It shouldn't automatically upgrade.

I know. It is rare. You should get a notification! I would like to stay with 4.4.4 KitKat GPe I Feel more fast and more fluid. Until the official motorola update 5.1

Try restoring to stock 4.4.4 GPE
