I bought a 128GB USB 3.0 stick for my phone so I had access to loads of my music at all times.
If it's being used (ie, playing music continuously) then it seems to work fine, but after around 5 mins, as soon as it gets a chance (like the end of a track) it'll ungraciously unmount/disconnect/die.
The light stops flashing, no notification. Dead.
The usb stick works perfectly on the PC. It's FAT32 so it should work fine with the phone.
My phone is rooted, and I've been using Stickmount which seems to help a little in keeping the USB stick alive a little longer, but it still disconnects soon after connecting.
I tried some older usb sticks a few weeks ago and they appeared to also be disconnecting frequently, but I've just tested them again and with StickMount they've been working flawlessly.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
I'm going to try formatting the stick to ExFat/NTFS and see how that goes.
