Trying to figure out how to get 4.4.2 on my motox XT1053 tmo. I rooted it and installed a custom rom before the update, and I'm not sure how to get to 4.4.2, all the custom roms seem to require 4.4.2 before installing them. Much of the documentation seems to be outdated or missing, I've been looking for days or I wouldn't ask.

How do I get a 4.4.2 custom rom installed if I only have 4.4 installed currently?

Easiest thing to do is download the 4.4.2 firmware and flash with fastboot and mfastboot.

Or, return to stock and take the ota.

Everything you need to know is in this great guide.

Good luck!

Once on 4.4.2......there's no downgrading. Or you could brick. Just a warning.

With an unlocked bootloader, YES! All the info you have asked for is in the thread that KJ posted for you. It should answer all questions you have. Just follow the instructions very carefully.

Good Luck

The problem is there are several guides on the page and I don't know what I need to do and Which one of these to follow.

Return to stock Moto rom using RSDLite see -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto...using-t2446515 and just flash the 4.4.2 SBF for your phone/carrier.

Root with unlocked bootloader -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto...ev-ed-t2649738
