So here are my concerns:
I just purchased a Moto X and if I get stuck in a bootloop I need to know how to fix it. With previous phones its as simple as a battery pull and reboot into recovery. Well since the MotoX does not have a removable battery I need to find out the steps without a PC.

depends on what is causing the bootloop.

You could try holding the power button down for a few seconds.. then once it appears to be off, press the power and volume down buttons simultaneously to boot into the Fastboot/Booloader mode/menu. You can select recovery, and erase the cache.

that is about it.
