Sure it is there but not in the location settings where I used to see it, which means it's not functional anymore.

I bet it's still functional, just that some confusion about which one was called by various apps under different circumstances was cleared up.

In any event, I am happy to see it fixed.

Maybe you are right. We will just have to see what's people's experience after the update.

I've got a Moto G 16GB UK version and have noticed odd things with the GPS on this.

If I switch on GPS with a widget it enables it for WiFi and mobile signal (called mid accuracy). High is using gsm, WiFi and GPS whilst low is using GPS chip only, which is very quick to lock on.

But normally Bluetooth, GPS, mobile data and WiFi are regularly disabled unless I need them as they drink the power...
