Moto X Kit Kat Verizon Root Question

I just got the Moto X for Verizon. I'm either blind or cannot find root instructions. I updated to Kit Kat also. I came from a rooted S4 and used Eclipse as my ROM and the Tether worked great. Tether is key as I use it for work quite often. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Rooting...
Unlock your bootloader, flash TWRP and then flash Supersu. Very simple to root a dev device.

I don't think the OP has a dev device. Must be regular one from VZW website

FOLLOW the directions. You'll have to go back to 4.2.2 and lose your data, but that's what it takes. It's not that difficult, all the ?'s you may have are probably answered several times in that thread.
This is for the initial rooting of your phone.
