Default [Q] Root without unlocked bootloader?

I just got a new Moto X GSM unlocked from moto maker directly.

I do not want to unlock the bootloader, just have root for adblocking and titanium backup for the most part.

The only methods I was able to find seem to involve downgrading the moto x to 4.2 but that would require unlocking the bootloader, which I do not want to do. (i'm not even sure if this bootloader is easily unlockable)

Is there a way to root on 4.4 without downgrading/unlocking?

You do not have to unlock bootloader to downgrade to 4.2.
