Is it possible to root on 4.2 and upgrade to 4.4 (keep root)?
I just got my new phone. It's 4.2.2. The upgrade notification came.
I am thinking of a plan to root and then upgrade.
1. Root with RockMyMoto
2. Run MotoWpNoMo. This remove the write protection on /system
3. Install SuperSU Pro and turn on survive mode
4. Upgrade OTA
5. Since there is WP, SuperSU will recover after the reboot.
Is the above valid? Has anyone tried?
Or, is it better to just upgrade and go with SlapMyMoto?
