Have you tried 2 step authorization from google?

I have but some of the apps don't ask for a login rather just automatically sync to your google account (given permission on install I guess when you click accept). I tried to go to settings and it seems only on or off no way to secure it.

I use Business Calendar Pro. Tried the apps mentioned here but they weren't very good with lots of appointments and adding lots of appointments.

None of these companies ever get your password. They receive a unique token from google that gives them authorization. You can go into your google account settings and revoke tokens at any time.

Just to throw another in: I like Jorte the most. It has a nice Widget, and is able to show you a lot information about your day even in monthly view. It is highly customisable, too. You can sync to your google calendar but i don't know about any security issues.
