Alright, it is 5:40 in the morning and I just got home from a 11 hour night work night so no work this morning. I'm ready to pass out.
Beta 5 will be mostly testing builds merging back in current aosp bits so if you are looking for stable, you might wanna stay on 4.2.7 for the weekend while we merge back into a current base, lots of fun testing gets to be had

I keep forgetting to do that, hopefully @defconoi will because I keep getting caught up trying different things and it just slips my mind.

Man the qcom_rx_wakelock is also caused by buggy wifi drivers? I still do not figured out about it, its draining alot my battery.

Edit: Could someone confirm if you have also this wakelock? so i can figured out if its just my phone

If it just popped in the 4.2 series then it is a new proprietary buggy that should be handled when we start merging back into aosp. We are starting to get too far ahead of the preview image so I expected a bit of buggy behavior with some of the new binaries since they are made for code way newer than ours at this point

Thanks for the quick answer , i will be glad also if somebody can confirm this behavior so i can format everything and do a clean flash if this problem could be caused by a dirty flash or i dont know

I got no random reboots with kernel 20, if anyone can provide logcat/last_kmsg that would be great, i've unplugged usb about 20 times did reboots, played games, messed with settings, no problems yet
I've provided one, stock settings, no UV, rebooted while typing on Xda like 1min after the boot.

Here it is: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/71255978/last_kmsg(1)

It reboot way way less when the USB is plugged, I had a hard time to logcat yesterday, but reboot almost instantly when I unplugged it.
It reboots systematically 1min after the boot is completed since I've cleared synapse's data.

Same problem here, had to flash hellscore kernel, and the problem is gone. It was always rebooting, minute after minute, initially it was plugged on my USB PC's port, but after i disconnected it, reboots continued.
I was on kernel 18, maybe i'll try kernel 20 today, and see if it's ok.

It'll be the same, my tests were on 20. I think it started to do it on 17, maybe 16, and keep doing it since.

Try flash hellscore_b47_anykernel (not CM) with HCM (hells core manager) and see if the reboots remains.

Personally, i had some problems in the past with HC, the screen freezes times to times and get completely unresponsiveness...the 10 fingers trick doesn't worked.

Only way, was to turn off and on. But until now, don't have that issue.

Anyone noticed the lack of 3G mobile Internet on 4.2.7? WiFi works just fine but switching to mobile data causes "No connection" errors...

Edit: actually it HAS some connection - FB works fine, but browser goes like this:
metupy2a.jpg

Edit 2: Confirmed - it was kernel issue. Flashed hellscore b47 - all works, all pages open in Chrome, no more Error 500.

I don't recall if I was plugged in or not, but yesterday after doing the factory reset and flashing 4.2.7 with 17 then 18 I had the consistent reboots you talk about. I flashed hellscore then booted, no reboots. Went back to 18 and have been on that since without problem.

Question, wouldn't that typically indicate a ramdisk problem?

Tried it already, no reboots, it only does it on defconoi's since a few releases.
It's not synapse or UKM either, works fine with AK.

Out of interest, what screenshot apps are people recommending?

I miss having the screenshot option on the power menu (as with previous ROMs, notably Purity).

What's the best (i.e. simplest) solution for this ROM?

Thanks

Simultaneously hold down power and volume down.

    Gapps are not working, help
Google apps are really goofy this early in MM
Deep sleep issues are caused by this
Check runtime permissions on google apps in settings/apps and check the three dot menu for system apps

    SMS/MMS not working?
SMS & MMS is related to your APN and not the ROM. Check that.

Can I flash this over my 5.1..x rom?
Yes, but do a clean install

OMG x app is not working?
That's expected - a lot of apps need to be updated to be compatible with L

    OMG xPosed is not working?
Do not use lollipop Xposed on Marshmallow

    My 5Ghz WiFi works fine.

For those people having issues with 5Ghz trying changing your channel to one of those listed in this post:

I'm currently using 44 which seems to be the sweet spot if that's available where you live.

Nexus 4 aren't able to see DFS channels due to the country regulations on transmissions. But some routers were using those channels when you set it to auto, so try changing your 5Ghz router channel to non-DFS channel like 40 or 48.
    Non-DFS channels: 36, 40, 44, 48, 149, 153, 157, 161, 165

*warning* if your CPU cannot handle -100 undervolt flash beta 8, I'll be reverting this change when I'm back home on Sunday.

    Changes:
Lower 81Mhz CPU freq, and lowered voltages to -100mv by default and reduced CPU steps, you guys must reset Synapse, and redo your voltages. This should increase battery even further.

    Beta 10:
Added kexec hardboot, UV -100 still default.

    • Fixed Wifi
    • Max Clock set to 1.5Ghz
    • Underclocked down to 94mhz

For those that like the OC, stick with 16u, with this you should get better battery life and great performance.

You need busybox installed for init.d support.

Synapse does not remount the system rw before setting an init.d script in WAKE, so first go to terminal or ADB Shell and type:
mount -o rw,remount /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/system /system then open Synapse and click Set Init.d script with sweep to wake.

In /etc/init.d/ you should now have a file named UKM_WAKE:
    Code:
    #!/system/bin/sh

#This file was generated automaticaly from Synapse/UKM.
#It contains wake options to be applied from init.d script.

    echo 1 > /sys/devices/virtual/input/lge_touch/dt_wake_enabled

    Autosmp as default hotplug:
    https://mega.co.nz/#!KowEQIDJ!XkvTAR_I7UVNd6EdzOwCCm7bz16slKoyTvHg1WbZjOk
Note: clear synapse and uncheck all governors to use autosmp ;)
To disable autosmp for other hotplugs use an init.d script because enabling an other hotplug will not disable autosmp unless you include this in init.d:
    echo 0 > /sys/module/autosmp/parameters/enabled
@apb_axel said he is adding support for autosmp in next UKM release, stay tuned

Faux zram has been added :)
    34u-zram

As requested here is a 4.4.4 Kitkat Kernel that is in anykernel format and should work with all Kitkat rom's

    Version bump to 35u:
    • autosmp set to default hotplug(disable all hotplugs in synapse before reboot)
    • Faux zRam Added.
    • Repatched in kexec, because of problem reports

Kitkat Users Flash: (fixed)(fixed again lol)

    Android L Users Flash:
    https://mega.co.nz/#!zsokUTRY!kefScnsSFicCjIDCao1Agdpr8QdkZ8mY-1rn1O0tYmI

Alternatively L users can flash Kitkat version, but init scripts depend on busybox installed.

    Enjoy ;)

rebased on the LPX13D preview with N6 apps and frameworks from a LRX-C branch
Percy got another source for the n6 dump once word got out that we had a dump so we used that to protect my original source so it has the new Google apps and unreleased apps for L

Huge thanks to Ben, @percy_g2, @defconoi for all the work on this plus @jolinnard for the data on script.

This build is not deodex'ed so first boot is very long. Give it a couple minutes to settle and connect to the google servers or it will say google play services not install. The new gmail still will, hit the back button and then continue to gmail aftr you are logged in.
    a reboot fixes most errors
