I'm willing to test Liquid as my first LP rom. so im kinda lost here.

The zip file contains the Liquid Smooth ROM while the md5sum file contains the md5 checksum for the ROM. The checksum is used to verify that the file you have downloaded matches the original ROM bit by bit. If the md5 checksum for the file you have downloaded does not match, your download is corrupted and will not flash properly.
