I don't think it is a bootscreen but a hidden one like the one of fliying robots on ICS, just because on boot you haven't loaded yet the navigation buttons.

What about that occam stuff in the build-no. Shouldn't it say mako? I thought occam is an indicator for samsung products?

Occam is something like the factory name for mako. Google factory images for mako are under the tag "occam".

In on of the other photos on Droid Life you can see enough of the baseband to see it is the same except .74 at the end instead of .48.
