Help with USB Cable Charging as AC
HI all,
Firstly I love these forums and you all rock and are the friendliest bunch of dudes and ladies (and others) I've seen on an online forum.
I have a quick question about getting NRT to recognize my N4, which has very little to do with NRT but rather what I believe to be the firmware (perhaps Android version) itself. Whenever I plug my USB cable into various USB ports, the phone appears as charging in AC mode - always. I used to have a kernel that allowed for USB fast charge, which I enabled, but I have since factory reset my phone three times (back to 4.3, JWR66Y), tried USB Host Diagnostics by ChainFire, and reloaded the stock configurations for kernel, radio, and system image. I am completely stumped and have no clue what to do. I have tried many different cables and software configurations to no avail. I would appreciate any and all guidance with this as it has certainly caused me undue hardship. I might just throw in the towel and get a Moto X Play.
Currently I`m using faux123`s kernel on 4.3, stock system, stock radio, TWRP 2.7.1.0. I have tried everything stock except the recovery. I worry that if I format the data on my SD card it will leave me without a solution and all of my data, which would be a large spoon of salt in the wound.
I'm willing to try anything to get my computer talking to my phone again. Maybe they had a weird fling one night while I was sleeping and now it's awkward so the phone just charges as AC to ignore my computers calls...
Thanks again, all,
--Mike
