Found this online
2 3539180526_ _ _ _ _ LGE960 AHKGBK 212KPF_ _ _ _ _ _ _ 20121214 GLOBAL/GLOBAL N N
this returns a string like this for my device
it means
unknown - IMEI - Model - SKU - S/N - Production Date? - ? - ? - ?
and would the SKU means
A
HK - Hong Kong -> where it is bought
GB - Global?
K - Korea -> where it is made

Can anyone post and match there details here?

So, they did produce at least 70K devices in October, 90K in November and 210K in December, still counting (just 16G devices).

Not bad, now as christmas orders are completed google and LG are really ramping up the production.

Interesting. According to that site, mine was manufactured 3 days after ordering (Dec 3 order Dec 6 manufactured). It was shipped on Dec 13, which means it took about a week to get from Korea to Kentucky, USA.

This site gives you more info, btw:
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/svc/popup/model_check.jsp?esn=<IMEI goes here>
(right click and view source)
It gives you "esnoutgodate" which is I believe when its shipped and "esndate" which is when its assigned an IMEI (during manufacturing?)

I guess it is quite possible, shipping by air is quite fast nowadays .

I am actually surprised LG simply assigns their IMEIs in a simple sequential order. This makes it trivial to track their production volumes. I guess el goog is less than amused, let's just wait until "the internetz" finds this out.

Ok, there are some gaps in the IMEI sequence and some of the IMEI's are not really sequential. But wast majority of them fit nicely into the common scheme.
It is quite possible they reserve some IMEI/serial# ranges for special purposes, like for example 306xxx. Test units for QA, training etc.

I would be not surprised, if those links would stop working soon.

Mine is bought in Asia gray market. The pamphlet inside shoes UK number for support so I'm guessing it was sourced there

Looking at the website above though gave me this:
AGBRBK
9th to 11th digit of imei is 064
20121105 GBR 20121107 N
United Kingdom

Don't know if this would be of any help to the op
