Or just publish a photo of the rev_11 camera (not taken from, of the camera cut) to compare?

I have seen a picture of the two cut outs. Its not the camera cut-out basically.. what i figured out was, the flash cut-out has been reduced in rev 11 phones. Don't really know what difference will it make and why they had to take this decision.

Decreasing the size of the cut-out increases the strength of the glass so it won't splinter that fast.

Ahan. Thanks for the info.

One thing more, wasn't it more important to put the "ring" on its camera, rather than the one they have given to the flash light? I mean it would secure the glass covering camera.

Been wondering about this myself. I'm no cam expert so I'm sure they have their reason. Would like to hear it though

Has anybody already received a phone with 301K instead of 211K or 210K?
I am wondering what differences there are.

After seeing some of the back and forth in the CyanogenMod Dev tread on lte, I wonder if the presence of an lte chip on the board is causing regulatory production delays now. Google did pull the factory images after it was discovered.

Unlikely, they still produce devices at the steady rate.

212K here, shipped 13 Dec.

What is interesting is that my two 16 gb phones' imei are 141438 digits apart. Both show a production date of 20121226. Since the last digit is a check, that means more than 14 100 devices were produced on the same day.

Yeah I'm very curious, maybe the yellow tint will finally be fixed? One can only wish :)

I have a 212K and I have no problems with this device what so ever, no yellow spot and not too hot while gaming(NFS most wanted, Modern Combat 4), also it doesn't seem to be getting low framerates when I play these heavy games for 30 min+! Batterylife is decent 1 1/2 days. No static on the earpiece, just a very good phone for the price!

read the first page
212k = 2012 dec korea
301k = 2013 jan korea

those codes have NOTHING to do with HW revison

GOOGLE_OPEN_16G just means google ordered that batch of phones

yellow tinting is a nonissue unless you have blotches of deeper yellow and it's clear everywhere else. the problem always fixes itself within a matter of weeks.

512035 11-th AUS8BK
513035 11-th AUS8BK

Production rate seems to be accelerating to 20k devices per day. So, they are really doing something. The "esndate" date "jumping" of TMO devices looks somehow conspicious, but "esnoutgodate" of most of them seems to be a 10-th of January, so maybe those are just some production irregularities.
Most of other serials and dates seem to mostly follow that same sequential pattern.

To sum it up: it looks like T-Mobile is getting a serious pile of devices. Noticed that they are selling well?
There is another noticeable batch for germany play store.

ANEUBK "EUROPE OPEN" seems to be something new. Start of normal retail sales through LG channels?

I have figured out how to identify the production date and place based on the serial number, found on the box. The S/N inside the phone doesn't have to do anything with the one, printed on the box! Also, don't mix SN with IMEI.

Production date is encoded in the first 3 positions (reading from left to right):
    1st position defines YEAR: 0 - 2010, 1 - 2011, 2 - 2012, 3 - 2013 and so on
    2rd and 3rd define MONTH: 01 - January, 02 - February, 03 - March, 04 - April, 05 - May, 06 - June, 07 - July, 08 - August, 09 - September, 10 - October, 11 - November, 12 - December

    4th position defines county:
    K - Korea, C - China, B - Brazil.

    For example:
211KPBF****** (last 6 digits are hidden for privacy reasons):

    So, 211 - 2012 November (11), K - Korea.

    Hope, this helps!

P.S. Last 6 numbers of the serial number match the last 6 numbers of the IMEI. It is incremented by 1 with each newly produced unit.

I did some sampling on the LG database.
Retrieved some 1% of the data up from the 100000 mark.
Found some interesting things like holes in the sequence, date order not in line with imei order, list of buyers, etc.
    Check my spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AqPPcfoSlaB_dEVFcnJUTnljaC1LcjVWR2RIa2pQT3c

Can anyone post and match there details here?

    Very cool!

It gives us means to find out the production rate.

So, they did produce at least 70K devices in October, 90K in November and 210K in December, still counting (just 16G devices).

Not bad, now as christmas orders are completed google and LG are really ramping up the production.

HK - Hong Kong -> where it is bought
    GB - Global?
K - Korea -> where it is made

GB seems to decode as follows:
    G - 16Gb (8 - 8Gb)
    B- Black.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have just reached the millionth device!

(of course just judging by serial number, i.e. minus gaps)

    ATURBK 302KPSL999998 20130205 TURKEY

Which means, IMEI prefix 35391805* is now officially complete and the next one will be started.
