very interesting video. What do you think is the reason for the broken on-screen-buttons?

Could be from a direct fall in the screen since it's not just the onscreen buttons, its the part of the onscreen buttons like even in Fullscreen games this side won't work .

Same problem my side. I was advised to replace the digitizer, and apparently this can be caused by normal wear and tear; fortunately for me, the problem resolved itself somehow. No idea whether that can happen to others as well, but still...

Maybe it was rom related or screen was dirty or something dirty was on your screenprotector. For everyone who reads this i recommend a screenprotector and a gel case or someother but gel absorbs the shocks good so the glass wont break and screen protectors protects your screen also a bit from humid weatherm

The navigation bar is very likely to be a kernel problem maybe swipe2wake function.
Try to change it.

Flashing to stock 4.4.3 didn't solve the problem instantly. It took about a week before it came back to normal. Screen protector was okay, it's still clean and clear

Sent from my Nexus 4 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Sony Ericsson z550i - Battery kaput, phone lost.
Some Nokia X thingy (before M$ bought them out) - Too scared of Nokia. No touch.
Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830i - Tried several ROMs, came back to stock, handed over to dad (poor guy.)
Samsung Galaxy Core i8262 - Rooted, unrooted, rerooted, hard bricked, magically restored itself (honest!), handed over to dad (ace-i went to grandpa, hehe)

LG-Google Nexus 4 - Stock, rooted, xposed, CM, stock, Pac-Man, Android L Preview
