Over the years I have used many different screens in a phone ranging from plain monochrome LCD to samoled, from high end to some ridiculously cheap Asian crap (such low prices that its almost acceptable ). I must say that, even with what I read on this thread, I am experiencing the most real to life colours on this device.

Well actually, there may have been a Sony tablet that had a very nice clear image but it was generally too dark and was probably a trick of contrast. (Wasn't my tab but I used for a short time).

But then again. Each eye us different. Even when referring to just one person. If the perception of each of a persons own eyes differ, its going to be very hard to agree on the colour scheme on a widely used device. But I just needed to post here that the colours are completely acceptable to me.

Slightly off topic. When at a medium screen brightness and if I hold the phone at a certain angle, I see evenly spaced ... Shiny dots. In a square pattern. They aren't very visible, but they do sparkle a little with sunlight. Is that completely normal? I hope so!

That's the screen digitizer, it's used for touch input

Whew, Good! I just read the RMA thread and started to get paranoid. Still, I haven't used a phone where the digitizer was visible with screen on, but it just adds more glitter to match the back and its hardly noticeable really, so its all good!

Edit for autocorrect typo

You can see the "dots" because LG incorporated both the display and digitizer into one. It's a newish screen design

Guys, I kind of wasn't buying any of this, but decided to try it fit myself. It's all true... Use the recommended values in the Franco kernel tool (paid version). Big difference.

Seconded. The Franco recommended gamma settings are awesome.

I am not convinced yet, but I am curious. Is there a way to do this without alternative kernel? I rather stay on stock cm10.1 kernel.
