It was working at CES. I'm sure they wouldn't put it out if it had no function. If you check the videos from ces it shows some apps. There mostly HTML 5 web links. It seems to work OK. I have been wanting to try something new without getting rid of my N4 . iOS and wp8 don't interest me at all .

It wouldn't be a smartphone operating system if it didn't lol

But seriously, yes it will make/receive calls, uses Firefox as a browser I would suspect with chromium being downloadable, has a gmail client as well as probably thunderbird.
Also has an app store (not sure if that is in the initial release though)

DONATE TO ME
The main thing I want from this is some sort of sip client. Doubtful for the first release but that won't stop me from flashing it anyway!

Btw we know it is released tomorrow... but in what time zone? It will be the 21st UTC in a few hours.
Look what I just heard on the interwebz!

Yeah, I doubt there will be a SIP client, but that's not stopping me from throwing this on my Galaxy Nexus.

Default Ubuntu phone os

Ubuntu seems interesting yes, but I think that the first releases will be more bugged.
I will wait a stable release and a valutation of this and then I can think about install it on my N4 :3
