I have a Nexus 4 running CM 11 M8, i installed M7 through the CM installer and got an update to M8, once i updated, my CWM recovery was replaced by CM simple recovery, and no matter what i try to flash it gives me an error and aborts installation, for rom its about the siganture verification, and for installing philz touch recovery it gave me the same error, is their anyway to disable signature verification?

Yes, download the recovery image file to your pc. Then run in a command window

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img. Where recovery.img is the image file

If you don't have fastboot setup Google 15 second adb install xda
