Question [Q] I'm losing my mind.. Phone refuses to recognize GFs name..

My gf's name is Dandilion.

In the searchbar, when I type "text John", the phone prompts me to text my friend John.

When I type "text Dandilion", it displays "Did you mean: text Dandelion" (with an E instead of an i) and shows me a web search for "text Dandelion".

This isn't even using voice. This is using my keyboard to type the search command. Why is this happening? It's driving me insane because I've tried using Nickname, Phonetic name, and I've been googling for a while without any leads.

This is one of the reason why human shouldnt name themselves flower names. Its time for her to change her name ;/. While you are at it; you can try suing Google. How dare they? oh no they didnt!!!

What? I'm just asking for guidance for a clearly explained issue.

Could it be because the keyboard interprets it as the flower, which is spelled with an "e", versus her name with an "i"?

I'm just wondering if it could be some sort of system wide auto-correction.

Get the same with my wife's name who's Pakistani! Though sometimes recognises it, if i use my (very poor) John Wayne impression! Try it it might work!
