Default [Q] Insufficient space ?

"Insufficient storage available" - I get this error every time I try to update/install any app, even though I have 500MB of free space.
I'm running unrooted stock 4.4.2
how do I solve this?

thanks in advance

Clear some space. It will give that error when you're down to 500mb of storage.

Found this suggestion on Google.

Solution
Go to Settings > Application > Market
Tap on "Unistall Update"
Try to download your apps again, it should work.

Replace 'Market' with play store of course.
