[Q] Nexus 4 is not getting detected in any OS and not even seen connecting media text

My Nexus 4 is not getting detected in any OS and not even seen connecting media text in nexus 4 after connecting it to PC, did hard reset as well but no luck,

In window 7 after connecting nexus 4, i do not see Other device >Nexus 4 option under device manager

recently i install Franco kernel

If any one have solution for the same Please let me know

Thanks, but when i connect my Nexus 4, i did not get prompt message and only charging is working correctly

Have any other ADB drivers installed? Because then you need to uninstall those:

Go into command prompt and write:

set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1
start devmgmt.msc

Delete all devices including driver software in the "Android Device" section.

Then reinstall the Nexus 4 drivers.

If that still doesn't work, update the driver when connected with usb debugging on and manually add by rightclicking the device, click update driver software, then the "Browse my computer for driver software", then "Let me pick from a list..." then "Show all devices" and then Have disk.

Then you simply point to the driver and select the "Android ADB Interface" .
