Default Nexus 4 on Kit Kat motochopper root.

Hi all,

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to rooting. I've jailbroken a few ipods, but that's about it. Today I found out about motochopper, a tool that allows you to root without unlocking the bootloader, and best of all, you keep all of your data. I downloaded the Android sdk, manually installed the device drivers for the nexus 4 in USB debugging mode and successfully ran the program, I thought that I had successfully rooted my Nexus 4 running Android 4.4 kit kat, however root checker is telling me that I'm not rooted. When I opened superuser, it gave me this error message:

The superuser binary (su) must be updated.

If there is a fix, I would appreciate a response, and if there isn't, please advise me on any tools similar to motochopper which are compatible with my device (Nexus 4 running Android 4.4 Kit Kat)

Thanks In advance

I could be wrong but I don't think motochopper has worked since 4.2

I know of no way to unlock nexus devices without a reset on 4.3 or 4.4
