Default [q] adb lost t>t

Hey guys i have queston i have a nexus 4 for a couple months now and i just got a nexus 7 and when i plugged it in my little brother pulled it out when windows was installing it by itself now ive lost adb on both devices ive tried using universal adb and x.x i dont know it just wont work now

Windows 8 build
n4 on custom 4.2.2
n7 on 4.4 stock

could someone link me or lead me thru another way to get adb on my laptop again toolkit just confuses me.

you can get the platform.tools folder which contains the adb.exe and fastboot.exe by downloading the Android SDK https://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html and don't forgot to install the USB driver also. Please search or google how to get the platform.tools folder and the USB driver from the SDK Manager

So I got adb working but I can't access the internal storage thru my PC ?

Have you try to update the USB driver through device manager? using this link to download the file http://developer.android.com/sdk/win-usb.html

Have you look the caution sign in the device manager? Try to look at adb interface and android devices then search for update

So i downloaded sdk and i have the update usb downloaded and installed according to it.
