Default Snapchat rebooting droids

So snapchat devs claim its nexus devs fault that phones reboot when running snapchat. They have so many updates and its doing it more frequently than ever since they rolled out chat. How the hell can it be the firmware when no other app in the world does this? nb: I'm running 4.4 kitkat. But i've heard of others doing this too.

Its not just Snapchat. This is a universal camera issue as a result of the camera api/driver presented in (what I believe was) 4.3 and above. Fix is reportedly in 4.4.3 which should be rolling out soon. Now, I'm not sure if it more apparent in Snapchat than in other apps, but it definitely affects all apps that utilize the camera.
