Trouble rooting my Nexus 4
So my first experience of rooting didn't end to well.. Starting out I thought it was going to be easy, it probably is but maybe not so for me.
I managed to unlock the bootloader fairly easily using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexu...guide-t2018179
But I became stuck once it came to 'Obtaining Root Access and Custom Recovery'. I tried following the instructions and got stuck when with 'fastboot flash recovery IMAGENAME.img'. It could not find my recovery.img which is in the platform-tools folder. With no luck and a factory reset phone I looked for other ways to root it. Android Toolkit seemed an appealing, easy way to correct my mistakes. I tried using this toolkit and only got as far as I had when using the other method. The toolkit worked until it was downloading the recovery.img, it would just say 'downloading...' indefinitely.
Now I'm here asking people who know what they're doing for some help. Sorry if I come across a complete idiot
